Amelia “Amy”‘s Obituary
MOULAISON, Amelia Regina “Amy”– 83, of Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 27, 1938, Amy was the daughter of the late Edna Smith. Amy worked at the Villa Saint-Joseph as a PCW. Volunteer work was a passion of hers. She worked with the Yarmouth Special Olympics and was a long-standing member of the Yarmouth Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as president and was honored with the Legionnaire of the Year award. She had a strong faith in God and was a member of the Salvation Army for many years. Aside from her mother, she was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Ronald “Tut” Moulaison; daughter, Charmaine Smith, as well as her sister, Bernice Smith. She is survived by siblings, Judy Stark, Bear River; Norman Smith, Deerfield; Hazel Smith, Yarmouth; Rose Forbes, South Ohio. Her children, Lynda Roach, Toronto; Gary (Judy) Hudson, Port Maitland; Billy (Carole) Hudson, Yarmouth; Kevin (Melinda) Hudson, Petawawa; Susan Hudson and Roxann Higby, both of Yarmouth; 11 grandchildren, Natalie Roach, Jennifer (Corey) Yahnke, Melissa (Shawn) Ryder, Matthew Hudson, Derick (Jessica) Hudson, Kevin Hudson, Michael Hudson, Amy Hudson, Billy Hudson, Mark Hudson and Ronald Higby as well as seventeen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Amy may be made to the Yarmouth Special Olymipcs.
