Amedeo Ronchin Friday February 25th 2022

Amedeo was the son of Alessandro and Regina (Ferrarese) Ronchin, both predeceased. He was raised in San Polo di Piave, Treviso, Italy, where he met and married (1953) Teresa Tadiotto, and started their family with a daughter, Anna Maria Marleau. In 1954 they immigrated to Sudbury where they completed their family with two more children, Loretta (Ron Andrews) and Guido (Clara Dalla Benetta). Amedeo was the grandfather of: Shaun (Julie), Kevin, Julie & Denis (Holley) Marleau; Lorron & Ronnie Andrews; and Tara & Michelle Ronchin. Great grandfather of Drake, Paige, Peyton, Ryan & Arthur Marleau. Amedeo was predeceased by his seven siblings, Teresa, Ida, Angelo, Eliseo, Carlo, Stella and Alessandrina. He is survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.
A retiree of INCO, Amedeo was highly respected for his expertise in welding. He had a passion for flowers and vegetable gardening, eagerly sharing his produce with family and neighbours. He was also known for his ingenuity – he could design & construct, fix, refurbish or repurpose anything. He will be remembered for his meticulousness and generosity, but most of all for his love of family. Forever in our hearts.
A burial mass has taken place at Our Lady of Hope Church. Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
