Amanda’s Obituary
After a heroic fight against cervical cancer, Mandi became just too tired and peacefully finished her journey, in the comfort of her own home, in Paris, Ontario on Monday March 21, 2022. She was 35 years of age. Beloved wife, soulmate and best friend to the luckiest guy in the whole world Scott Hodgins (he still can’t believe she said yes when he asked her to marry him!). Cherished daughter of Steve (Dori) and Kelly Francois. Loved forever by her sister Kait (Clayton) and the late Shane (Andrea). Missed by her step-sisters Tia and Erica Kazimer. Loving daughter-in-law of Doug Hodgins (Joanne) and Brenda Wallace and sister-in-law Stephani (Nick), Jen (Ed), Mandie (Kyle). Loved niece to Auntie Donna. Mandi was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mandi worked for Antlers Services for seven years and became incredibly close to the Antler family and her co-workers. She was a cherished friend to many who will miss the gift of true friendship she gave. Loved forever by her ‘Fur Babies’ Chevy, Reese and Little Dude.
In her short 35 years, she exemplified strength and grace. She taught by example the act of being truly selfless and was always keenly interested in how the other person was doing. Special thanks to her nurse Tracy Sage who went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you for being both a true friend and ‘Nurse of the Bride’.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home. In accordance with Mandi’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place and no formal services will be held. At some point in the near future, a time and a place for a ‘Celebration of Life’ will be announced on this website. In Mandi’s memory, donations to either the Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca/en/) or the Brant County SPCA (www.brantcountyspca.com/) would be appreciated by the family.
