Obituary
Our hearts were saddened on Saturday, February 05, 2022 with the passing of our Mom, Alvina (Viney) Eddy of Heart’s Delight, aged 93 years, at Carbonear General Hospital with her loving family at her side.
Predeceased by husband, George Eddy; parents, Sidney and Lena Williams; baby daughter, Joyce Elaine; son-in-law, Sol Bishop; sisters, Priscilla (Hector) March and Audrey Haywood; brothers, Clarence Williams and Bruce Williams.
She is lovingly remembered by children, Sidney (Barbara-ann) Eddy, Forestburg, Alberta, Pearl (Vern) Mercer, Heart’s Delight, Gerri Bishop-Harnum (Percy), Whiteway, Karen (Ken) Jackson, Cavendish, Brian (Amber) Eddy, Killam, Alberta; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lily Hodder and sister-in-law, Jean Williams; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Private visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 8th at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo.
In order to maintain social distancing and to follow public health advisory of Covid-19, this will be a walk through only, one household bubble at a time, and proof of vaccination is required. Everyone is asked to sign the contact-tracing sheet upon entering the building and masks are required. Due to Covid-19, no food is permitted in the funeral home.
A service to celebrate Viney’s iife will be held on Wednesday, February 9th at 2:00 PM from Bethel United Church, Heart’s Delight. The service will be by invitation only, masks are mandatory and vaccine passport with photo ID will be required. Interment to follow at Bethel United Cemetery, Heart’s Delight.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Bethel United Church Memorial Fund.
