Alvin Cormier
1932-2022
Alvin Cormier, 90, of Saint-Antoine, passed away peacefully,
surrounded by his family at the Foyer Saint-Antoine, on Tuesday
November 22, 2022. He was married to the late Florence (Collette)
Cormier (2018). Born in Saint-Damien, he was the son of the late
Albert and the late Laudia (LeBlanc) Cormier.
Alvin was a snow plow operator for several years.
He will be sadly missed by his four children; Lisa Cormier-Landry
(Martial), Christine Cormier of Saint-Damien, Eugère (Yvonne) and
Clarence (Yvette) of Saint-Antoine, his four grandchildren; Stephane,
Nicole, Daniel and Jolyne as well as four great grandchildren;
Chelsea, Ariel, Yann and Emma. He also leaves to mourn one sister;
Yvonniste Pellerin of Saint-Antoine and one brother; Jules (Bernice)
of Leominster, MA as well as several nephews and nieces.
Alvin was predeceased by one daughter; Jeanne (2021), one sister;
Elsie and four brothers; Prémélite, Calixte, Valmond and
Pius.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman
Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Friday November 25,
2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00
am to 10:45 am. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the
Saint-Antoine Church on Saturday November 26, 2022 at 11:00 am with
interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
FACE MASKS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR VISITATIONS AT THE FUNERAL
HOME.
In Alvin’s memory, donations may be made to the Foyer
Saint-Antoine.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral
Home, Bouctouche.
