Peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday October 11, 2022, John Allan “Al” Sprague, age 88, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Shirley (Billett) Sprague (2005). Born in Chatham in 1933, son of the late Edna (Merrilees) and Bertram Sprague.
He is survived by his children Debby Sprague, Patricia (Arty) Russell, Bill Sprague, Kim (Bob) Chenier, Debi (Jim) Handsor and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his sisters Anne Weiringa and Janet Boxall.
As per Al’s wishes cremation has taken place.
A private family burial will take place in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
