At Sandfield Place LTC, Cornwall on Wednesday March 9, 2022 in her 101st year. Alma Runions (nee Munroe), formerly of Maxville. Beloved wife of the late Hector Runions (1993). Loving mother of George (Beverley), John (Anne), Edith Nugent (Carl), Glen (Linda), Edna Swick (John), Edgar, Larry and Laurel Henderson (Gary). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Karen Dixon (Neil), Derek, Bruce (Jason), Heather Pettypiece (Dave), Jamie Nugent (Sherri) and Randy Nugent (Amanda). Cherished great-grandmother of Melanie and Andrew Dixon; Zoe and Dylan Pettypiece; Lauren and Lindsey Nugent; Logan, Taylor, Cole, Wyatt and Neah Nugent. Survived by her sister Lorna Munroe of Ottawa. Predeceased by her parents John A. Munroe and Ida Cochrane; two sisters, Olive Ross and Edith Thompson and granddaughter Tracey Firth (Jon). Friends and relatives may attend a visitation at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Thursday March 17, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and on Friday from 10 – 10:45 am. There will be a Funeral Service in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Friday March 18, 2022 at 11 am. Rev. Lois Gaudet officiating. Cremation to follow the service with urn burial in the North Branch cemetery, Martintown on Friday May 20, 2022 at 2 pm. Masks are required at all gatherings. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Charity of your Choice. As a Memorial to Alma, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
