Alma’s Obituary
Robblee (Jamieson), Alma Elizabeth of Fox Harbour, Nova Scotia.
At the age of 83, passed away peacefully at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, Nova Scotia.
Alma was know as “Pink” a nick name given to her when she was just a baby and carried throughout her life. She was born in North Wallace, Nova Scotia April 13, 1939. She married Roger Robblee on October 15, 1957 then moved to Ontario in 1966 where they raised their family and retired back to Fox Harbour in 1994. Alma (Pink) was a member of the UCW and the St. Andrew’s United Church and was very well known for her great cooking. There was always lots of food including her homemade rolls and desserts for everyone and a welcomed place for many to gather.
Her family was her pride and joy. She will be affectionately remembered by her 5 children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is the loving mother of Marilyn (Terry) Love, Pugwash, NS, Sherman (Karen) Robblee, Woodstock ON, Sherry (Ross) Kitchen, Beaverdell BC, Angela (Dave) Empey, Woodstock ON, and Danny (Tammy) Robblee, North Wallace, NS. Cherished Nana to Troy (Vanessa) and their children Jace & Connor, Amy-Lynn (Brian), Rebecca (Greg) and their children Harvey and Daphne, Helena (Shawn) and their son Landon, Brandon (Jenna) and their daughters Lennon and Sophie, Matthew (Erin) and their children Ophelia and Selwyn, Katelyn (Devin) and Shelby (Tony), Taylor, Adam and Wyatt.
She is survived by her brother Floyd Crawford (Rose), sister-in-law Margaret DesRoches, Elva Jamieson, Margaret Robblee, Wendy Morrison, and brothers-in-law Carson (Marilyn) Robblee, Bill Parkinson and John Wolosinovsky.
Predeceased by her husband Roger, brothers-in-laws William (Eleanor) Robblee, Percy DesRoches, Keith Robblee, Richard Jamieson, Lloyd Robblee and sisters-in-law Mallie (Art) Henderson, Isabelle Wolosinovsky, Francis (Jerry) Jamieson, Barb Parkinson.
In her later years Alma (Pink) fell ill with Dementia and moved to the East Cumberland Lodge (ECL) in Pugwash. Our family is ever so grateful for the outstanding exemplary care she was provided by the team at the ECL. A celebration of her life will be held at the St. Andrews United Church in Fox Harbour, Nova Scotia, Saturday November 26, 2022 at 1 pm. and a time of fellowship and refreshments to follow. Donations in memory of Alma “Pink” may be made to the Fox Harbour Community Cemetery through Mundle’s Funeral Home, P.O. Box 261, Pugwash, B0K1L0.
