Allan’s Obituary
We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Allan Campbell on January 25th, 2022.
Allan leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Madeline (Hawkins), two sons: Jonathan (Pat) of Nepean ON and Stefan (Grace) of Dunrobin, ON, grandson Bram and granddaughter Enya of Dunrobin ON.
Allan’s unflappable quick wit and dry sense of humor will be dearly missed by ten brother and sisters, John (Linda) of Campbell’s Creek, Margaret (Earl Gaudon) of Campbell’s Creek, Mary Ann (David MacDonald) of Truro NS, Malcolm (Carol) of Port Hawkesbury, NS, Stan of St. John’s, Gerard (Kathi) of St. Albert, AB , Emma of Stephenville, Aaron (Pauline) of Cole Harbour, NS, Angus (Elaine) of Mount Pearl, and Rosaria (Darlene McIvor) of Wallace Station NS.
He also leaves his mother-in-law Elsie Hawkins of the Acadian Village, Stephenville, three great-grandchildren, 29 nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends and other relatives. He will forever be remembered as a dedicated husband and father, a wonderful neighbor, and a devoted grandfather. He not only leaves behind a large hole in his family but also the neighbourhood where he could always be counted on to help a neighbor who needed it.
He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Sarah (Duffy), sisters Lucy and Rose (Wayne Churchill), brother Danny, father-in-law Ted Hawkins, Sister – in –law Princie Hawkins and Valerie Ollerhead (Hawkins), and brother-in-law Teddy Hawkins.
Cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Life will occur in the summer after which his ashes will be scattered in Campbell’s Creek, Cove, a place he loved and which held many happy memories for him
