Allan James Walkley 1962 – 2021

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Allan James Walkley (July 29, 1962-December 20th, 2021) in Kamloops BC. Al was born in La Macaza Quebec and moved to BC in 1972 where he enjoyed the outdoors. He is predeceased by his parents Fred and Doris Walkley. He leaves to mourn his daughters Lauren and Katherine Walkley, and his sisters, Gail Neumann and Linda Berry and brother Joe Walkley.
Al had a lifetime career with Coopers/Save On Foods, starting at the Westsyde Coopers when he was only 16 years old. He loved his work and enjoyed all the people in his Coopers/Save On family. His co-workers loved him and have expressed how much they learned from him. He will be greatly missed around the store.
Allan was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed sharing his passion with his kids. Allan coached hockey for several years making a big impact on the kids he coached. He followed Lauren and Katherine’s sports with so much pride, never missing a game no matter what sport they played. In his spare time he loved to enjoy the outdoors, he went hiking and mountain biking and he loved to camp and fish.
Above all, Al cherished his daughters, they were the light in his life.
The service will take place in Kamloops in the Spring, date to be announced. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Kamloops Hospice Society
