I would like to express my sincere sympathy to Alice’s family and friends. I have known Alice since my son Ryan’s first day of Kindergarten. We were blessed that all three of our children had the benefit of her kind heart and gentle manner. She had a way to deal with issues like severe asthma attacks, strong little minds and crying from separation anxiety. It didn’t matter what she came up against her kind heart always prevailed. I have photos of her with my kids that are placed my their scrapbooks. I always enjoyed our chats when I’d see her out and about. Many years later she still asked about the kids. She was a very special lady. ❤️

Daphne, Shannon and Shelley, and your families,
I am so sorry to hear that your mother has passed. My thoughts are with all of you. Your Mom was such a beautiful and kind woman. I have many memories of her when I was a little girl — playing with each of you at your home on Maple Ridge Road while your Mom watched us playing “school” were ones I will always cherish. She had such a gentle voice… I will never forget the way she spoke. After I got married she always asked about my family and how each of our girls were doing. I then would get updates from her about each of you. I will always remember your mother and think of her with a smile. She was lovely. Take good care of each other. Just want to give my sincerest sympathy to the family. Alice was a wonderful teacher and well liked by everyone at W. P. S.. She was so friendly ,helpful and caring. One of the best to work with. I have known Alice and her girls for years. She even gave me clothes for my twins from Shannon and Shelley. Also remembering her great sense of humour that brought joy to our day. So sorry for your loss. She certainly was a special lady.
Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your beautiful kind Mother.
Alice taught across the hall from me at Alta Vista School.in the 1960’s. As a beginning teacher, I relied on her for advice and guidance.. Her students and parents adored her, as did I. Your aunt Joan Moffatt was married to my first cousin Benson Moffatt. For many years, we kept in touch. I always valued her friendship and support. May she rest in peace.
