Alice S. Burke
1931-2022
It is with great sadness that the family of Alice Sophia Burke
announce her passing on October 29, 2022. Alice was born in Knoxford,
N.B., to Stanley Burke and Stella Lawrence.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Noble; grandchildren,
Sacha, Farrah (Phil) and Vanessa Noble; Terri Ann and Tracy (Jarrod)
Nicholas and Holly Peters; Beloved great-grandchildren, Ross, Max and
Mara; Mango and Kai; Nicholas, Sebastian and Sophia; Tori and Jacob;
Olivia, Stella and Chloe and many dear nieces, nephews and
friends.
Alice was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She was
predeceased by her dear daughter, Anne Peters; sisters Muriel Moran
(Earl); Audrey Jones (Bill); Margaret MacDonald (Clarence); brothers,
Leo Burke (Kaye); Glendon Burke (Doreen); and Ronald Burke (Mae).
Alice nursed at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Perth- Andover for 25
years. She loved her work there and reminisced often about her
hospital days and the many life-long friends she gained during her
time there.
“Grammy Alice”, with all of her very kind and thoughtful
ways, will be forever remembered and loved by all who knew her.
Visitation will take place from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from
2-3 pm followed by a funeral service in Chapel at 3 pm. Interment will
follow at the Upper Knoxford Cemetery. The family wishes that
memoriams in Alice’s memory be made to DunRoamin’ Stray
