In Loving Memory of Mary Alice Thrush (Baskerville), formally known as Alice passed away Saturday January 9, 2022 at the age of 92 at Extendicare York in Sudbury.
Alice was born April 25, 1929 in Manitoba to Bertha Jane (McVeity) and William Edward Baskerville and they had 7 children (Lena,Dora, Evelyn, Alice, Marion, George, Howard), all predeceased. She married Cyril Thrush (predeceased) in 1945. They moved together from Manitoba to Ontario in 1945 at the age of 16 where they built a home together in Whitefish, Ontario and raised six children; Mary-lou Matthews husband Joe, Diane Thorton (predeceased) husband Denise (predeceased), William Trush wife Brigette, Roy Thrush, Greg Thrush (predeceased) wife Ivy, and Lorraine Mooney husband Leonard. Alice will be remembered as a hard-working custodian of 20 years at R.H Murray Public School until she retired. Her passion in life was her family as a mother of six, a grandmother of (13), a great grandmother of (14), and a great great grandmother of (5). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She loved to spend her past time visiting with family and friends. She will be remembered fondly by the knitting and quilts that she made for her family. She always looked forward to spending the summer months at her camp on Manitoulin Island surrounded by family and friends. Arrangements entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Services.
