Obituary
Passed peacefully away on December 29th, in his 69th year, Alfred Horace Sheppard of Woody Point, Bonne Bay. Alfred had recently celebrated his 68th birthday on December 27th and his passing comes as a great shock to family and friends.
Al, as he was known, was loved by the community for his kindness and selflessness, always thinking of others before himself. For years his total dedication to the care of our father and mother enabled them to stay at home in the community they loved. He is predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Marguerite Sheppard. Al leaves to mourn his brothers George (Marjorie), Derek (Karen), and Scott (Nancy), as well as a large circle of family and friends who loved him dearly; many of whom spoke with him on his birthday so very recently.
Funeral service will be held at the Church of the Epiphany Woody Point at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023, Rev; Wilhelmina Green officiating. Visiting hours will be Monday, January 2nd, 2023, from the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm. Cremation and other services are under the care of Parsons Funeral Home, Deer Lake. Interment to be announced later.
