Obituary of Al Duplisea
It is with sadness that the family of James “Al” Duplisea, loving husband to Hilda, announce his peaceful passing on June 16, 2022, at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born on January 8, 1936, in Enniskillen, NB, he was a son of the late Jean (Murray) and James Duplisea.
Al loved his family and cherished the time spent with them. He worked at Simpson Sears for 20 years as a Stationery Engineer. Al enjoyed investing in and renovating homes, gardening, carpentry and constantly working around the house.
Al will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Hilda; his two sons, Jim (Kelly) of Saint John, NB and Jack (Brenda) of Halifax, NS; one daughter, Sherry Ingersoll (Mike) of Saint John, NB; grandchildren, Jonathan, Joel, Jeremy, Josh, Devyn and Shaelynn; great-grandchildren, Vayda, Kiki, Madeleine, Oliver, Sebastien and Julia; brother, Jack Duplisea (Teresa).
In addition to his parents, Al was also predeceased by his sisters, Rose Hebert and Kay Martin; as well as grandson, Jonathan Ingersoll.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rocmaura Nursing Home, Al’s home away from home for the last year, for all the care and compassion shown to them. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB with visitation on Monday, June 20, 2022, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM from Holy Redeemer Parish (St. Pius X), 316 Somerset Street, Saint John. Interment will take place in St. Ignatius Cemetery at Petersville Hill. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations in Albert’s memory can be made to Rocmaura Nursing Home or the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick.www.BrenansFH.com.
