Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert Joseph Arseneault at the Kings Way Care Centre in Quispamsis on February 1, 2022. Born in St. Charles, N.B. on January 17, 1936, he was a son of the late Theodore and Eva (Richard) Arseneault.
Albert was a “jack of all trades”. He worked for Bens Construction in Truro, Lawson Motors, Brett’s, D & J Motors, MacKnights Motors and Port City Motors doing body work, then worked as a carpenter for Simpson Construction, Rocca Construction, Don Northrup, and Richibucto River Resort. He took great joy in playing the fiddle and woodworking (the German’s he worked for would refer to him as the Wood Doctor). He thoroughly enjoyed the skills of his trade, known for his hand-crafted fish baskets, bird houses, and many wooden treasures. Albert was a kind, caring, and compassionate man, as well as being a ‘real comedian’ going out of his way to make people smile.
Albert will be greatly missed by his loving wife Anita Arseneault (Savoie); his daughters Antoinette Perry (Stephen) of Quispamsis and Angela Parlee (Jeff) of Erb’s Cove; his son Alvin Arseneault (Sue); his siblings O’liva Chevarie (the late Ben), Emery Arsenault (Bella), Camille Arseneault (Denise), Winnie Arseneault and Gilles Arseneault (Celina); his grandchildren Courtenay (Troy), Jordan, Mia and Nathaniel; his great-grandchildren Crew and Cora; his chosen family Rheal Comeau, Rose Hayes, Joe Savoie, Amanda Yoston and Jeannine Hunter; as well as by many extended family members and good friends.
As well as by his parents, Albert was predeceased by two angelic grandchildren; his siblings Leonide Arseneault, Yvette Cyr, Julianna Comeau (Telex), Tim Arseneault, Emile Arseneault (Therese), Aggie Robichaud (Ben) and Louise Leblanc; his chosen son Gary Arseneault.
Thank you to the amazing angels at Kings Way Care Centre for loving our dad, for your outstanding care and compassion during dads last two years with you. We will truly be grateful forever. His honor guard was truly touching and will remain in our hearts forever.
