Obituary for Alan Altiman
With sadness we announce the sudden passing of Alan ‘Shanks’ Altiman, a member of Walpole Island First Nations on January 30, 2022 at the age of 65. Son of the late Clifford ‘Cabac’ Nahdee and Lorrine Altiman. Predeceased by his wife Karen Altiman (nee Dashner) Dear Father of Lawrence ‘Larry’ Dashner, Felicity Altiman, Nikita Ferguson, Kyle Ferguson (Aranda) and the late Tanya Dashner. Remembered by his 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He will be missed by his siblings Dorothy ‘Dot’ peters, Bertha Altiman, Jennifer Clayton-Douglas and the late Urla ‘Peanuts’ Altiman and Paula Altiman as well as his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Family and friends are invited for community visitation at HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519.627.3231) on Sunday February 6, 2022 from 1-4pm. His Traditional Funeral Service will be held at Walpole Island Sports Complex on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11am with burial at Highbanks Cemetery to follow.
