1961 – 2022
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Alain Rondeau in 2022.
This most amazing man was born in 1961, in St-Jean-Sur Richelieu, Quebec, to Laurent and Lucille Rondeau. Alain grew up with his three sisters just outside Montreal where the family owned a reception hall for many years. The family then moved to Montreal, and in 1990, Alain decided at 29, to take his gravel truck and backhoe across Canada to settle in Edmonton, where he spent the remaining years of his life. Alain spent most of his career working at Burnco and decided to retire 9 years ago and be a full-time dad to his pride and joy, Samuel. He said those were some of the best years of his life being a full-time Dad to Christina, also his pride and joy, and Samuel. Alain lived for his children and knew that was his most important job above anything else. He was a true believer who experienced many miracles and who led many people to Jesus through his gentle and passionate approach.
Alain is survived by his daughter, Christina (25); son, Samuel (12); as well as his grandson, Maverick (1); granddaughter, Angela, who was born 3 days later; his three sisters, Maryse, Christiane, and Lyne; nieces and nephews: Mathieu, Anne, Laurence and Aurise Collerette, Alexandrine, and Félix-Antoine Thériaultand; and his partner, Rhonda who was with him until the end.
He was the most funny, caring, and genuine man who touched so many people’s lives and will be missed dearly.
A Viewing will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home,10011 114 Street NW, Edmonton. The Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Meadowlands Baptist Church, 2215 17 Street NW, Edmonton. C’est avec une grande tristesse et le cœur lourd que nous annonçons le décès soudain d’Alain Rondeau le 2022. Cet homme des plus attachant est né le 1961 à St-Jean-Sur Richelieu, Québec, de Laurent et Lucille Rondeau. Alain a grandi avec ses trois sœurs en banlieue de Montréal où la famille a été propriétaire d’une salle de réception pendant de nombreuses années. La famille a ensuite déménagé à Montréal et, en 1990, Alain a décidé à 29 ans, de traverser le Canada avec son camion de gravier et sa rétrocaveuse pour s’installer à Edmonton où il a passé les dernières années de sa vie. Alain a passé la majeure partie de sa carrière à travailler chez Burnco jusqu’à ce qu’il décide de prendre sa retraite, il y a 9 ans, et d’être un père à temps plein pour Samuel, sa fierté et sa joie. Il a dit que ce furent quelques-unes des meilleures années de sa vie en tant que père à plein temps de Christina et de Samuel. Alain vivait pour ses enfants et savait que c’était son travail le plus important avant tout. C’était un vrai croyant qui a vécu de nombreux miracles et qui a conduit de nombreuses personnes à Jésus grâce à son approche douce et passionnée.
Alain laisse dans le deuil sa fille Christina (25 ans) et son fils Samuel (12 ans), ainsi que son petit-fils Maverick (1) une petite-fille Angela née 3 jours plus tard, ses trois soeurs Maryse, Christiane et Lyne, ses nièces et ses neveux Mathieu, Anne, Laurence et Aurise Collerette, Alexandrine et Félix-Antoine Thériault et sa compagne Rhonda qui l’a accompagné jusqu’à la toute fin.
Il était l’homme le plus drôle, le plus attentionné et le plus authentique qui a touché la vie de tant de gens et qui nous manquera beaucoup. Une visite aura lieu le lundi 3 octobre de 15 h à 17 h au salon funéraire Connelly McKinley au 10011 114 Street NW. Le service aura lieu à 13 h le mardi 4 octobre à Meadowlands Baptist Church – 2215 17 Street NW.
