C’est avec un immense chagrin que nous annonçons le décès de Monsieur Al Poulin, après un court combat contre le cancer, le 16 mai 2022, à l’âge de 70 ans. Il était le tendre époux de Julie Turgeon, père bien-aimé de Jennifer (Stéphane) et Pamela, beau-père de Layne (Nicole) et Chanel (Sean), pépére/papi d’Ariane et d’Elliot, et fils de feu Georges et Yvonne Poulin (née Cameron). Il laisse aussi dans le deuil son frère aîné Gerry (Colette), belle-soeur Rachel, ses neveux et nièces Shelley (Julien), Greg (Susan), Nathalie (Fern) ainsi que plusieurs autres beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces, cousin(e)s, et ami(e)s.
Homme d’affaires (APAFS) depuis plus de 46 ans et membre de longue date du Club Richelieu, Al était un membre engagé dans sa communauté et se démarquait par ses activités de bienfaisance et de soutien pour les entreprises de sa ville natale. Al était un passionné de la vie : il aimait rire et taquiner, une bonne partie de cartes, prendre de copieux repas avec un bon vin entouré de ses proches, et surtout jouer ses 18 trous de golf!
La famille recevra parents et amis(es) le jeudi 19 mai 2022 de 14 h à 16 h et de 19 h à 21 h à la Maison funéraire Lessard-Stephens. Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu le vendredi 20 mai 2022 à 11 h à la Paroisse St-Joseph. Vos témoignages de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à la Société canadienne du cancer. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Al Poulin, after a short battle with cancer, on May 16, 2022, at the age of 70. He was the loving husband of Julie Turgeon, beloved father of Jennifer (Stéphane) and Pamela, father-in-law of Layne (Nicole) and Chanel (Sean), grandfather of Ariane and Elliot and son of the late Georges and Yvonne Poulin (née Cameron). He is also survived by his older brother Gerry (Colette), sister-in-law Rachel, nieces and nephews Shelley (Julien), Greg (Susan), Nathalie (Fern) as well as many other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Al was a businessman (APAFS) for over 46 years and a long-time member of the Richelieu Club. He was a committed member of his community and distinguished himself by his charitable activities and his support for the businesses of his hometown. Al was passionate about life: he loved to laugh and joke, play a good game of cards, have hearty meals and good wine surrounded by his loved ones, and especially, play a round of 18 holes of golf!
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St-Joseph Church. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
