Obituary of Agostino Domenico Bonomo
BONOMO, Agostino Domenico (Tino), 67 of Halifax, NS, passed away on April 29, 2022.
Tino was born in Asiago, Vicenza, Italy in 1954. In 1957 he travelled with his mother on the ship, Saturnia, and arrived at Pier 21 to meet up with his father who had already immigrated to Canada.
Tino’s life revolved around music. He picked up the guitar and accordian at a young age, had a great ear for music and could play any instrument. He had an avid interest in traditional Irish music and other Celtic styles, spending many years of his life preforming locally and abroad. Tino had many friends throughout his life, enjoyed his travels to Italy, the Italian Alps and Nova Scotia summers.
Tino was predeceased by his parents, Renzo Bonomo and Eride Costa Bonomo. He is survived by his daughter, Emma (Ryan) Mackintosh; Granddaughter Sophie Mackintosh and Grandson, Lucas Mackintosh; Sister Vivian (Read) Allen; Brother Michael (Carrie) Bonomo; Aunt Wanda Bonomo and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home Ltd. Family service will be held at a later date.
