Obituary of Adriana Maria Kanters
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Adriana Kanters on June 19, 2022 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of Frank (2010). Loving mother of Maria (Mike) Janssens, Henry (Alice) Kanters, Albert (Teresa) Kanters, Frank (Lori) Kanters, Janet (Garry) Shmorong. Adored grandmother of Michelle (Sergio), Matt (Sara), Michael (Judy), Marc, Christopher (Megan), Patrick (Laura), Scott, Carissa (Jason), Tyler (Melissa), and Kevin. Cherished great grandmother of Olivia, Lilah, Everett, Isaac, Addyson, Julia, Kody, Kole, Noah, Miles and Adelaide.
An active and kind soul Adriana volunteered at SMGH until the age of 89. She loved to play cards and was a dedicated member of the All Saints Catholic Women’s League.
Adriana’s wish was that her body be donated to science, and we are pleased to share that her wish has been granted.
A Visitation will take place at All Saints Roman Catholic Church on July 8, 2022 at 10:15am prior to A Funeral Mass at 11:00am. A light lunch and additional Visitation will follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Strathroy Middle General Hospital Foundation or North Lambton Lodge Auxiliary. My condolences to the Kanters Family. Zus was the first person we visited when we came to the area from Holland in 1956. We most recently saw her in 2020 just prior to the death of my husband Mies van de Ven.
