Obituary
Stephenville, NL – It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Adelaide (Benoit) O’Gorman on June 19th, 2022 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL.
Born in Marches Point. She is the daughter of the late Mary Jesso and the late Martin Benoit. Adelaide will be missed by her four daughters: Patsy Snook (Bub Snook – Deceased) of Lourdes, NL, Martha LaCosta and (Tom Skinner) of Ontario, Elizabeth Felix (Mike Felix- Deceased) of Kippens, NL, Monica Jesso (Richard) of Stephenville, NL; four sons: Jerry (Doris) of Lourdes, Lawrence (Diane) of Riverview, NB, Dave (Katie) of Stephenville, NL, and Paul (Coleen) of Stephenville, NL.
Also leaving to mourn: thirteen grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle or nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is also predeceased by her siblings: Martha Collier, Dorothy Jesso, May Collier, Larry Benoit, Andrew Benoit and Aloysius Benoit; daughters-in-law: Diane and Lorriane; son-in-law: Albert.
A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Lourdes, NL on Monday, June 20th, 2022 from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 7:00pm – 9:00pm; Tuesday, June 21st, 2022 from 2:00pm -4:00pm & 7:00pm – 9:00pm; From where a funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 at 10:30 am, with Father Lourdue officiating. Interment to take place at the church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or memorial donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
