Adamo Pivotto

Peacefully at his home after a brief illness, at the age of 82, surrounded by loved ones. Adamo was born in Crosara di Marostica, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1966 where he met and married his devoted wife, Phyllis, of 44 years. Loving father to Mark (Carmen), Julie (Brian), Lisa (Jason)and Amy (Jeff). Devoted Nonno to Aurora, Ofelia, Daniel, Sydney, Sutton, Everleigh, Miles, Aidan and Quinn. Adamo leaves behind his sister Maria (late Agostino) of Canada and sisters Gina (late Mario), Graziosa (late Angelo ) of Italy, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by his brothers Ottaviano (Giovanna), Graziano (Lina) , Pasquale (Natalina), Beppi and Mario. He is a long- time member of the Alpini Association of Hamilton and the Venetian Club of Hamilton. In his career he worked as a welder for many years at Inglis and went on to become a custodian at the HWCDSB. Adamo enjoyed retirement spending time in his garage, his garden, making wine and spending time with family and friends. A special thank you to family physician Dr. Ayeni, doctors and staff at St. Joseph’s and Juravinski Hospitals, Cancer Assistance Program, St. Elizabeth’s, PSW’s at CBI, and nurses at Bayshore Home Health, especially Marian, for their care and compassion. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Thursday from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Vigil Prayers at 8:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, 63 Highway 20 East, Stoney Creek on Friday, November 4th at 10:00 am. Cremation will follow.
