Abraham Soroka
Peacefully, on December 24, 2022, but not before putting up one heck of a fight. Son of the late
Beryl and Masha Soroka. Beloved husband of Annlizbeth (Silver). Devoted father and father-in-
law of the late Seth and Sandra Salesas, Charles and Bonnie Yashinsky and Dana and the late
Mitchell Goldbloom. Cherished Grandfather of Benjamin Soroka, Jesse and Mia and Sam
Soroka and Talia and Jordan Goldbloom. Predeceased by his siblings Rae Sherback Carr
(David and Robert), Jack (Mildred), Archie (Jackie) and Goldie Pap (Sam). Brother-in-law of
Sandra and the late Ivar Riff. Abe will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Abe was a Chartered Accountant (now CPA) for almost 70 years who kept practising until the
end and who helped literally hundreds of clients through the years. He will be missed.
The family would like to thank his caregivers Terrance, David and Brenda and the virtual
hospital of the Jewish general for all of their support and kindness over the last several months.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, December 27 at
11am. Burial at the Beth Zion Section of the Eternal Gardens Cemetery, 33 Elm Ave, Pointe-
Claire, Quebec H9R 5G6. Shiva will be observed on Tuesday, December 27 th – Thursday,
December 29 th from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm and on December 30 th from 2pm – 4pm at
5900 Cavendish suite 402. Donations in Abe’s memory can be made to the Cardiology
