Obituary
On Friday, March 18, 2022, at home with his wife at his side, Bram Van Overbeeke was promoted to glory at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Hermina ‘Mineke’ for 57 years. Loving father of Frank and Sandy Van Overbeeke-Costello, Bernadine and Ed Togeretz, Sonya and Greg Bessette, Tom and Monica Van Overbeeke and Rob Van Overbeeke. Cherished Opa to 15 grandchildren, and Opa Bram to two great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Suzanna Brasz and brother-in-law to Dineke Mulder, Maria van’t Zand, Joop and Riet van’t Zand, and Koos Blacquire.
Bram was a teacher and principal in Christian schools across Southern Ontario for 40 years, was a visiting pastor at Philpott Church, and with his wife Mineke, provided a loving home for many foster children.
Friends are invited to a Visitation on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 7-9 p.m. at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Philpott Church, 84 York Blvd, Hamilton. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations made in memory of Bram to Anchor Home (providing assisted living for individuals with disabilities) would be appreciated.
