Alois Wessner Sr November 2nd 1926 April 14th 2022

Alois Wessner Sr. born on November 2,1926 and passed away on April 14, 2022, at Afton Park Place, Somerset wing. He married his true love Ottilie Wessner June 21, 1952. Dad cherished his two sons, Alois, deceased (Donna) and Harry (Doreen) and his grandchildren, Troy (Chris), Tara (Jeremy) Eaton, Amy (Gary) Freschauf, Emma, and his 8 great grandchildren. All children loved Dad, not just his family but even the neighborhood kids gravitated towards him. Dad also loved and cared for his feathered friend Birdy. Dad was a carpenter by trade but handyman to his family. If it was broken, he was the one who figured out how to fix it. We could always count on Dad to have a pocket full of candies to hand out just when we needed one. A Dear Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
I hide my tears when I say your name.
But the pain in my heart is still the same.
Though I smile and seem carefree.
There’s no one who
Misses you more than me.
Many thanks to the staff at Afton Park Place, Somerset Wing for the exceptional care given to Dad the last 2 years. As per his wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Heart and Stroke Society, Sarnia & District Humane Society or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Memories and condolences may be sent online at www.smithfuneralhome.ca
