It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Joseph Burke at the age of 76, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington. Loving husband of 38 years to Connie (nee Dunham). Dear father of Tracey Burke (Brian). Predeceased by his mother Mary Margaret Meisels, and mother-in-law Ruth Dunham. Survived by his father-in-law Orville Dunham. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Theresa Watson (Morris), the late Maureen Wallace, Frances Craddock (Ron), Joe Meisels (Ellen), Cathy Dunham (Darcy), and Steven Dunham (Romana). Beloved uncle to many nephews and nieces. Bill enjoyed a career of three years in the Canadian Military before he began 30 years of dedicated and loyal service with the OPP, where he retired as Detective Superintendent. He also enjoyed travelling and playing golf. A Private Family Service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11 a.m. You are welcome to join via live-stream by following the link under Events. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, a donation in memory of Bill to the St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia Lambton would be appreciated by the family.
