Eleanor’s Obituary
Eleanor Catherine Pendergast, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on April 13th, 2022. She leaves behind with many fond and precious memories her daughters; Kerri (Wade) Drover, Kim (Rick) Whelan, Kenna (Darren) Pennell, Amanda (Kenny) Matthews and long time partner; Maxwell Seaward. She is also survived by her siblings; Adrian (Linda) Pendergast and Linda (Peter) Reynders as well as her loving grandchildren.
Our mother was an educator and founding member of the Gateway Status of Women. She cherished her Cape Breton heritage. Although we lost parts of our mother over the last number of years, she fought with determination until the end. Our gratitude to Dr. David Thomas and the staff of Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre is immeasurable. We will forever remember your compassion.
‘May the Road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the Sun shine warm upon your face;
the rain falls soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.’
In keeping with Eleanor wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family visitation will take place on Saturday April 16th, 2022 from 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 134 Main Street, Port aux Basques, NL (Downtown Location).
