Vivian’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vivian Lane of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL in her 75th year. She was dear to all who knew her and was affectionally called ‘Sis’ and/or ‘Sissy’ by many.
Predeceased by nephew, Dougie Lane; father, Douglas, she leaves behind with loving memories her mother, Bernice Lane; son, Stephen; brother, Allan (Marilyn) and family; sister, Debby and family; and sister, Leah. Also fondly remembered by best friend, Heather Waye; lifetime family friend, Dave Dyke, and a large circle of relatives and extended family.
Vivian’s interest in her younger days were with The Salvation Army Grand Falls-Citadel Girl Guides, Songsters, and Home League.
Her years of employment was with Central Health, first working in the hospital Cafeteria then later joining the housekeeping crew at the (old) Carmelite House where she remained until health issues forced her into early retirement.
During her retirement, Vivian found great comfort in having the company of her beloved rescue fur-baby, Coco, for most of his twelve years. She spoiled him (just a little bit) and loved him immensely.
With great gratitude the family wishes to acknowledge Provincial Home Care Agency and the many wonderful workers Vivian had over the years. A very special thank-you is extended to her most recent caretakers, Heather Waye and Carolyn French.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
