It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ignazio D’Angelo, a loving husband, and beloved father and grandfather. He passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2022, surrounded by his family at the age of 91 (two days shy of his 92nd birthday). He will be forever missed by his loving wife Adelina. Cherished father of Lisa (Peter Alfonsi), Cristina D’Angelo, Antonietta (Angelo Macri), and Maria (Andrea Merluzzi). Proud Nonno of Matthew, Sarah Anne, David, Andrew, Michael, Alessandro, and Matteo. Dear brother of Antonio (Antonina), Michele (Rose), Antonino (Lidia), and Nazzareno (Anna).
His love for his family was endless. He will be greatly missed and will forever live on in our hearts.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin Street, south of Lawrence Avenue West) on Sunday April 10, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church (840 Bathurst Street, Toronto) on Monday April 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto). The family has asked that all relatives and friends please wear a mask when attending the visitation and funeral.
Donations in Ignazio’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or SickKids Foundation.
