MONCTON- Faubourg de Mascaret Pavillion Richard, on April 5, 2022, at the age of 92 years and 8 months, Anita Dignard Lavigne passed away. Formerly of Bathurst New Brunswick, she was the wife of the late Benoit (Benny) Lavigne.
She was the daughter of the late Léo Dignard and the late Emilie Brideau.
She is survived by a daughter Debra Lavigne of Bathurst, New Brunswick and a son Michael Lavigne (Denise Daigle) of Dieppe, New Brunswick; one brother, Edgar Dignard (Gilberte) of Laval, Qc.
She was predeceased by four sisters: Claudia, Geraldine, Marguerite and Stella and five brothers: Claude, Edmond, Livain, Léolin and Yvon.
Anita was a businesswoman where she and her husband managed several businesses. Anita has volunteered with St. John Ambulance. She had a big heart and she adored her two children Debra and Michael. She loved living in Caron Point and walking on the beach where she found peace and serenity.
The family would like to acknowledge the care and attention Anita received at Faubourg de Mascaret Pavillion Richard.
The celebration of life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 Saint George Street Bathurst NB. The funeral will be held at the chapel of Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com). Burial will be in the South Bathurst Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
