Barbara Jean Atchley Brooks – age 86 of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Member or Green Acres Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #55. Barbara was also the Owner/Operator of Barbara’s Flower Shop.
Preceded in death by husband of 55 years, William “Bill” Brooks; son, Robert “Bobby” Brooks; parents, Dallas Newell Atchley and Nellie Mae Rose Atchley; infant brother, Lyander Atchley; and grandparents, Walker and Flora Fowler Atchley.
Survived by sons, Billy (Debbie) Brooks, and Benny (fiancé, Kelley Hardy) Brooks; daughter-in-law, Terry Lynn Brooks; granddaughter, Brittany Cassandra Brooks; brothers, Dallas Atchley, Jr., Charles (Linda) Atchley, Eugene Atchley, and Danny Atchley; sisters, Carolyn Burnette and Dianna Gail Sellers; sister-in-law, Bonnie French; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Bridges Funeral Home with the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Dr. Allen England officiating followed by the interment at Eastview Memorial Gardens officiated by Chaplain Kim Robinson.
