Hatton, Elizabeth “Louise” (nee Duggan)
Louise Hatton, aged 78, devoted wife to Paul Hatton and loving mother to Terry (Helena), Tanya, Tina (Cesario) and Michael, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Headwaters Health Care Centre. Louise was born on March 21, 1943 and grew up on her family farm in the Irish Block Community of Owen Sound. Louise is loved and remembered by her grandchildren Carley, Brandon, Cassie, Madeline, Grace, Brady and Mason. Louise was the daughter of the late Michael and Eleanor (Cameron) Duggan. Loving sister to her late brothers and sisters, Walter (Louise), Rose (Archie) MacDonald, Carl (Mary), Ruth (Mac) Cundle, Bernie (Susan) and Ina. Louise will always be remembered for her love of family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her the most joy. After years dedicating her life to her profession as a nurse, she chose to raise her family and settle here in Orangeville. Louise will be remembered as a good friend and co-worker. She loved to reminisce around the kitchen table while having coffee, sharing stories about her time spent at Dominion / A & P.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. (RSVP IS REQUIRED).
Funeral Service will be held at St. Timothy’s Parish at 42 Dawson Road, Orangeville, Ontario on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. (RSVP IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND MASS)
Donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be welcomed by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Elizabeth in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
