Obituary of David Elgin Rader
RADER: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, David “Dave” Elgin Rader of Dashwood, in his 76th year. Beloved husband of 50 years this May, to Nancy Edith (Scott) Rader. Loving father of Stacey and Kevin Tomaszyk, Derick Rader, Stephanie and Brian Willemse. Cherished by his grandchildren Sadie, Jacob and Hudson Willemse, Cohen and Teagan Tomaszyk and Neveah Rader. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Fred Miller, Ruthanne deNiet, Paul and Susan Rader, Sharon and Bill Bennett, Nathalie and Jim Glavin, Kathy and Scott Rowland and Pauline and Kevin Barrett. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Ervin and Mary (Patterson) Rader, sisters Marian Howe and June Miller, brothers-in-law Lloyd Howe, John deNiet, Keith Scott and Kevin Scott, father-in-law and mother-in-law Gordon and Edith (Hotson) Scott, nephew Aaron Heywood. Dave owned and operated Dave Rader Construction and worked as a carpenter for 55 years. He was a very proud member of the Dashwood Men’s Club for many years. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood with a Private Family Funeral Service to be held at the Zion Lutheran Church, Dashwood. Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Dashwood. “We had one hell of a gravel run Dave, loved you to the moon and back”. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the South Huron Hospital Foundation or the Parkinson Society would be appreciated by the family.
