The family of Ches Dobni are saddened to announce his passing on Thursday, March 31st, 2022 at the age of 56. Beloved father of Kyle and Emma and son of Helen.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Chester. A colleague, friend, and fellow armchair philosopher, I will miss our debates and discussions. Chester always added to conversation and that will be missed.
To Emma and Kyle, thinking of you during this time and hoping for togetherness and healing for the both of you. Please know, as an educator, your Dad impacted the lives of many, many students and his legacy will not be forgotten by those who were taught by him.
I am so sorry for your loss. Words simply fail. I recall the wonderful moments Chester and I, and our families, shared together. He loved his writers, poets, novelists, essayists, musicians, and, yes, philosophers too. As HDT wrote and whom he admired: “Time is but the stream I go a fishing in.”
