CASEY, Charles “Scott” – It
is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles
“Scott” Casey which occurred on Wednesday, March 30th, 2022
at Canso Seaside Manor. Scott was born on December 7th, 1926 to the
late William Casey & Bertha (Horne) Casey of Little
Dover.
Scott spent his working life as a
hardworking fisherman as well working at the Fish Plant. Scott also
worked as a carpenter. Scott was an experienced trapper and enjoyed
hunting to provide food for family.
Scott will be missed by his loving
wife of 68 years Florence. Sons Mike (Karen) Little Dover, Wade
(Freda) Antigonish, Darren (Donna) Halfway Cove, Darryl (Della) Little
Dover, Barry, Canning. Daughters Paulette Avery (Robert) Little Dover,
Dorothy Newell (Gary) Tickle, Sherry (Wilfred) Hammonds Plains, Ruby
Rhynold (Donnie) Whitehead, Nancy Bouchie (Michael) Hazel Hill. Scott
also raised a grandson as a son Nolan (Rachel). Daughter In-laws
Bernadette Casey Harbour Breton, NL & Kelly Rattray Mineville.
Scott also is remembered by his 22 Grandchildren, 20
Great-grandchildren, & three great great grandchildren. Scott
will also be missed by his “Dollie” Lucy.
Other than his parents Scott
predeceased by brothers Reginald, Bill, Roy, Leo. sisters Gladys, Mona
& Rose all of Little Dover. Special son Anthony Son In-law
Mark Conway Grandchildren Baby Casey & great grandchildren
Caysie & Olivia. Memorial donations can be made to a charity
of one’s choice.
