Obituary
LOBRAICO, Shirley Anne
It is with sadness the family of Shirley announces her passing, Wednesday, March 30, 2022. In her 92nd year and the beloved wife of William for 65 years until his passing in 2018, Shirley leaves behind their children Lenore (Steven) Ball, William Charles, Roseanne, and Lisa (Steven) Tors. Grandchildren Lauren (Greg) Hewitt, Duncan (Jamie-Lee) Ball, Michael Gervais, Samantha Gervais, and Katarina Rind will miss their Grandma, while great-grandchildren Archer, Calvin and Livia Hewitt, Karson Gervais and Logan, Greyson and Maxwell Ball will miss their GG. Predeceased by parents Charles and Edith Smith and sister Eleanor (John) Robertson, Shirley will be lovingly remembered by all who were close to her, including a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins from both the Smith and Lobraico families. A former Girl Guide leader in her spare time, and an accomplished civil servant with the government of Ontario, Shirley enjoyed family parties; handicrafts; outings and visits with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; good books; holidays with William; fun trips to the casino, and baking up a storm in her own kitchen. A lovely lady until the end, Shirley was more than just a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother: She was our first teacher; our storyteller; our mentor and above all, our friend. Heaven has a brand-new angel.
Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations to an organization of your choice dedicated to the care of the elderly or infirm would be welcomed. Messages of condolence are invited at www.mundellfuneralhome.com.
