Obituary
On Thursday, April 1, 2021, Mr. Michael Andrew Bobak of Elkford, BC passed away peacefully at his winter home in Osoyoos at the age of 69 years.
He was predeceased by his father, Mike Andy Bobak; mother Nellie Bobak (Chayko) and sister Betty Cherniwchan.
Michael will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife Lynn Bobak (Galloway) of Elkford, BC; sons Jeffrey Bobak (Kailey) of Innisfail, AB, Matthew Bobak of Elkford, BC and Andrew Bobak of Kelowna, BC; sister Catherine Brooks of Calgary, AB; brother Robert Bobak (Karen) of Lethbridge, AB; sister Shirley Davis (Johnny) of Manitoba; brother David Bobak (Diana) of Raymond, AB as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Over the years, Michael worked for CPR, Teck Coal and was part of the Mine Rescue team.
Michael was an active member of the Snowmobile club, ATV club & Search and Rescue.
He loved the outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, ATVing, or camping he was in his glory.
He played broom ball, coached little league ball and played on his own slow pitch team.
After retirement, he loved to travel and see new things. He got to experience cruises, quading in the desert, the Grand Canyon & fishing in the ocean.
