John was born on April 11, 1929 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, USA to Paul Emile and Bernadine (née Prévost) Bernier both predeceased. Beloved husband of 56 years to Denyse Yvette (née Trottier) Bernier, predeceased. Loving father of Michelle Bernier Wilson (spouse James), Marc Bernier, Judith Leblanc (spouse David), Jacques Bernier (spouse Val) and Richard Bernier (spouse Susan). Cherished grandfather of Colin, Katherine, Michael (Véronique), Lisa (Chris Lemieux), Erin predeceased, Marisse (Ian Aubry), Andrew, Patrick and Laura. Cherished great grandfather to Owen, Jacob, Cole, Riley, Jayde and Elle. Dear brother of Roland Bernier predeceased, Raymond R. Bernier predeceased, Paul Emile Bernier Jr., predeceased and Gabrielè Casey (spouse Frank). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Easter Seals Society and Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 2pm.
