Obituary of Anne Mushaluk
ANNA ‘Anne’ MUSHALUK, (nee Bednar), born on June 10, 1933 (age 88), passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
Left to cherish Anna’s memory are her devoted children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Bill Mushaluk (son) and wife Phyllis, daughter-in-law Alissa Mushaluk and children Roman, Farrah and Adele; Dennis Mushaluk (son) and wife Cathryn Eliuk, daughter Genevieve Mushaluk and husband Mark Tallon, and daughter Madeleine Mushaluk; Anita Lischynski (daughter) and husband Vern, daughter Stacy Lischynski and son Jesse Lischynski and wife Lindsay, and children Scarlett and Violet; and two brothers: Charles Bednar and Walter Bednar and wife Yvonne and many nieces and nephews.
Anna was predeceased by her parents Mike and Lena Bednar; her husband Mike Mushaluk; her two sisters, Emily Salamandyk and Evelyn Kulay (Ross); and her grandson, Bryce Mushaluk.
Anna grew up on a family farm in Arbakka, Manitoba. She married Mike in 1949 and moved to Piney where they developed and operated a family-owned, mixed farm. Anna was hardworking, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a natural aptitude for business. She had a significant influence on the success of the farm. Anna was a very kind, loving and generous mother and took a keen interest in the welfare of her children and their families. She loved berry picking and took great pride in her large garden, and anyone who visited always enjoyed an abundant home cooked meal. Anna and Mike sold the family farm in 2006 and relocated to Steinbach, to the dream home which she had planned and had built for their retirement. After Mike’s passing in 2016, Anna moved to Winnipeg to be closer to family, with whom she treasured her visits. She will be deeply missed by us all. May her memory be eternal.
