Obituary of Joyce Schippling
SCHIPPLING- Joyce Elaine (nee Lineham) of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the age of 90. Joyce is survived by her loving children Linda Davie, Michael (Janis) Davie, Maryellen (Rick) Borecki, Lori (Derek) Kiernan, Maureen (Gary) Longworth, and Jacquie (Ron) Iserhoff; by her eighteen grandchildren; fifty-nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; by her sister Shirley (Dave) Bowen; and by her many nieces and nephews. Joyce was born in St. Thomas to the late Leslie and Roberta Lineham. She worked at the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital until retirement, and enjoyed volunteering at the Caring Cupboard and VON. Cremation has taken place and a private scattering of ashes will be held in the Old St. Thomas Churchyard Cemetery on a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).   1. I am sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. I volunteered at the Caring Cupboard when Joyce was an active member of the Board. She was so faithful to the Caring Cupboard and worked tirelessly to help it run well. I always appreciated her window displays after we moved to Talbot St.. We shared many wonderful conversations and a lot of laughs.It was always a good day at the “Cupboard” when she was there. My sympathy to you all as you continue to share your memories with each other. Blessings
