Obituary of Dennis Gilchrist
With broken hearts, the family of Dennis Gilchrist announces his sudden passing on Friday, March 18, 2022. Dennis was predeceased by his parents Laverne and Illa Gilchrist and his niece Shauna Reist. He is survived by his wife and best friend Leah; his children Bradley (Kandice), Trevor (Tamara) and Alisha (Corey); grandchildren Zackery, Madison, Austin, Joey, Brady and Benjamin; sister Nadeen Reist (Bob); brothers Bruce (Peg) and Ross (Janet) and several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Dennis was born in Regina and raised in Milestone, Saskatchewan. He worked in the construction industry for many years before moving onto sales. In retirement, he enjoyed delivering lost luggage where everyone was often happy to see him! Dennis was a dedicated friend of Bill W. and was extremely proud of his 31 years of sobriety. As quoted from a friend “The only people who didn’t consider Dennis a friend, were those who never met him.” A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at the Turvey Centre, 100 Armour Road, Regina on Sunday, April 3, 2022, starting at 2:00 p.m. (CST).
