Obituary of Sharon McKenzie
It is with deep sadness we say goodbye to Sharon McKenzie who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday March 18th. Beloved wife of Bill for 57 years. Sharon loved her family unconditionally. Dearest mother of Heather Boileau (Greg) and Keith (Zoe) and mother in law to Shari McKenzie. Sharon’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, they were the light of her life. Cherished Nana and best friend of Courtney, Danielle, Gregory and Matthew Boileau and Tristan and Tyler McKenzie, along with her good boy Pablo. Dearest sister to Heather Hawken (Tom) and sister in law to Betty Beaulieu, Betty Mathews (Dave Montgomery), Mike (Evelyn), Jim (Catherine) and Brian (Barb). Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Lionel and Kay Freeman and brother Lionel.
We will forever miss our beautiful, funny, stylish, amazing Sharon. She was our beloved Mom and Nana, our source of strength, our anchor and guiding light.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St Elizabeth and Hospice of Windsor for their exceptional and compassionate care to Sharon and her family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Hospice of Windsor.
As per Sharon’s wishes, cremation as taken place and a memorial gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Sharon’s life.
