We are so very thankful that Marlene Joan Guse has entered into the Presence of her Lord and Saviour. After spending considerable time battling dementia, she is now free. Joan was the dear daughter of Jack and Grace St. Pierre both predeceased and sister to Paul St. Pierre (Ruth). Loving wife of 62 years to Melvin Guse, and mother of Sandra Burns (Tim), Ken Guse (Charlotte), Jeffrey Guse predeceased, and Bryan Guse (Ingrid). She will be dearly missed by her 6 grandchildren; Mark Burns (Steph), Michael Burns (Jami), Kate Burns, Joshua Guse (fiancé Cassidy), Isaac Guse, Mattea Guse; and 7 great grandchildren, Ahalya, Ellie, Andie, Skyler, Thiessen, Echo and Rhett. Joan was born in Sudbury, Ontario and spent the majority of her married years living on Wallace Road in Chelmsford, Ontario. She loved having people in her home – whether for home cooked meals, to play games, or just enjoy fellowship and laughter. She faithfully attended Larchwood Bible Chapel and spent countless summers serving others at Camp Ausk-Bik-Koong with her culinary skills. Florida was her favorite vacation destination, and she and Mel enjoyed many winters there. She was a friend to many, and a faithful follower of Jesus. Her life’s mission was to show the Love of Jesus to others, trusting they would enter into a relationship with Him. We take comfort in knowing that she is safely in the arms of Jesus. In lieu of flowers, donations to Camp Ausk-Bik-Koong would be appreciated. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-5pm Sunday and after 10am Monday). Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11am. Interment in the family plot at the Maplecrest Cemetery.
