RUTH ELSIE SNYDER (Reiman)
1934 – 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Ruth Snyder (nee Reiman), on March 8, 2022. With her children, Karen Snyder and Rod Snyder (Trista, Christian) by her side, Ruth peacefully, though unexpectedly, left our world. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Irvin Snyder, in 2017.
Ruth grew up in Winnipeg, where she married Irv Snyder in 1958 and was whisked away to begin married life in The Pas, Manitoba. Ruth, Irv and their children returned to Winnipeg until 1981 when they were transferred to Toronto to complete their working lives.
Upon retirement in 1990, they enjoyed 6 months of the year in Fort Myers Beach, Florida and 6 months of the year at their cottage on Lake of the Woods, Ontario.
Predeceased by her brother Edward Reiman in 2021, and survived by her sister-in-law, Liz Reiman and sister, Elsie Unger, Ruth will be lovingly remembered by all of her family members and dear friends, especially those at Sturgeon Creek II Retirement Residence in Winnipeg, where she lived happily and independently for the past 10 years. Ruth touched the lives of many.
At Ruth’s request, there will be no funeral service and cremation has taken place.
Rest in peace Mom. We miss you!

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ruth Elsie Snyder nee Reiman March 20 1934 March 8 2022..
