Shirley Sharpe Leblanc
Shirley passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 87, surrounded by her loving children. Shirley was born on May 21, 1934, in Creighton Mine and was the daughter of Florence and John Sharpe. Shirley met her husband Moise T. Leblanc and they quickly fell in love, marrying in 1952, until his death in 2007.
Shirley is survived by her children Rochelle Turcotte, Debbie Digby (Rob), Mona Mathieu (Gerry), Cori Desjardins (Brian), Gordon (Nicole), Tricia Gray (Todd). Shirley has 17 grandchildren: Ted, Tracy, Trina, Rhonda, Jen, Katie, Craig, Angie, Stephanie, Matthew, Tyler, Travis, Rebecca, Cassandra, Jessica, Alex, and Miranda. Shirley is also blessed to have 20 great-grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her sister Thelma Hillock (Ronald predeceased) of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was predeceased by siblings Madge Mitchell (Bill), Lawrence (Mary), Hugh (Neva), Grant (Phylis), Mae Britton (Percy), Viola Maloney (Harold), John (Iva), Vilma Spurr (Don), and her beloved brother, Father James Myles Sharpe.
Shirley is also survived by many nieces and nephews and in-laws. Shirley’s love for her family was fierce. She adored and protected her children and grandchildren. She taught them the purpose of family dinners, music, dancing, laughing, and especially her faith and love for God and the Catholic Church.
Shirley was an adoring, loving mother, however; her children and grandchildren would tell you that she was a better grandmother. She made them feel loved like no other person ever could. A grandmother who saw no flaws and praised everything about them. She truly loved all 37 unconditionally. She worried about them, forgave them and always kept on loving them.
Loving was easy for her. She had an amazing sense of humour and a beautiful laugh. Her wit was razor sharp and affectionately accepted the nickname “Poopie”.
Our mother/grandmother will be deeply missed. Our hearts are broken by this loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was a true blessing.

Cremation in the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice or Muscular Dystrophy Canada would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
