Boyd H. Kitts, age 79, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 with his loving wife by his side. Boyd was an employee at Y-12 for 37 years. He was a longtime supporter in the Gibbs Community. He was a lover of all things sports, an avid golfer, NASCAR fan and Yankees fan. He enjoyed playing and listening to a variety of music, especially bluegrass. He was known for his fun-loving sense of humor and distinct laughter. He loved to make people laugh.
Boyd was preceded in death by his parents Rosa and Sam Kitts; brothers, Heral Kitts and Mitchell Kitts; sisters, Ann Yoder, Joyce Smith; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wm. K. Hunley, Sr. and Priscilla Clodell Brewer Hunley; brother-in-law, Tim Hunley.
Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Beth Kitts; daughter, Kari (Matt) Carrington, Boyd Tyler (Jenny) Kitts; precious grandson, Boyd Lawson Kitts;
Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Con (Karen) Hunley, Steve (Kim) Hunley, Ruthie (Burton) Akers, Kenny (Michelle) Hunley; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2022 with the funeral to follow at 7:00PM at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 AM Friday, March 18, 2022 at Bridges Funeral Home to proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for a 11:00AM interment.
