HATTON, Douglas – It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the Hatton family announces the passing of a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend on December 25, 2021 in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Welsh) Hatton. Loving father of Judy Baldwin (Allen), Susan Zorich (Wayne), Cheryl Hatton and the late Richard Hatton (Frances). Cherished grandfather of Wade, Arron (Shelly), Kelly (David), Marnie (Bill), Christine (Kevin), Eric (Amy) and Todd (Dianne), great grandfather of Teagan, Hailey, Ayla, Hilary (Derek), Kevin, Kennedy, Sandra (David), Peyton and Braxton and great great grandfather of Mason. Dear brother of Robert Hatton (Charlene). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and special friend Lil. Predeceased by his parents George and Edith Hatton, great grandson Carter, sisters Joan Epps, Sheila Faucher (Real), Janice Hamilton (John) and Allison Fisher and brothers Raymond Hatton (Barbara) and George Hatton (Teresa). Mr. Hatton had worked for many years at John Deere in the experimental department. A Funeral Service will be held at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Saturday January 8th at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment of Douglas and Helen will follow at Pleasantview Cemetery. As per Covid 19 regulations proof of vaccination and ID is required to attend. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
