Obituary of Phyllis May Livingstone
Livingstone, Phyllis Mary (nee Hutton) – On March 8, 2022, Phyllis May Livingstone passed away peacefully in her 100th year at Amica Georgetown. Cherished mother of Shirley Livingstone and Marylou Livingstone (Jim Loukides). Loving Nana of Ian Handy, Carolyn (nee Handy) (Gil Letourneau), Karsten Loukides, Malcolm Loukides, and great grandchildren Zoë and Quinton Letourneau. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years, Angus “Bud” Livingstone (2011); daughter Suzanne (Jim Ramsay) (2019). Phyllis was born October 20, 1922 in Chelsea, London, England. Phyllis, a war bride, made Canada her new home in 1946. In 1967, Georgetown became their final home and community. Phyllis was a blessing to her family and all who knew her. She will be remembered for her deep faith that she so graciously communicated through her community volunteerism and her church communities. She treasured her twenty-year role as secretary at St. John’s United Church. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s United Church, 11 Guelph Street, Georgetown, Ontario, on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s United Church or Hope and Healing International (1600 16th Ave, Unit 1, Richmond Hill, Ontario L4B 4N6).
