In Loving Memory
Mr. Carl Schooley of La Salette, passed away peacefully at the VON Sakura House, Woodstock on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in his 73rd year. Carl was employed at Timberjack/John Deere in Woodstock for 40 years. He was an avid golfer and sportsman, and enjoyed many golf adventures with his son, Brett, both locally and in the U.S. He was a lover of music and enjoyed playing his guitar. Above all else, he had a deep pride in and a boundless love for his family, children and grandchildren. Beloved husband of Carol (Braun) Schooley for over 50 years. Loving father of Brett Schooley (Cynthia), Lisa Metcalf (John), Shannon Schooley and Kristen Schooley. Cherished grandfather of Lauren & Meghan Schooley and Holly & Madeleine Metcalf. Dearest brother of Paul Schooley (Cecilia), Tom Schooley (Marilyn), Angela Kicksee (Gord) and Sheila Edwards (Brian). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by his siblings, Norma Phillips (2021), Marion McMahon (1988) and Joan Colwell (2006). In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Memorial Service will take place. Memorial Donations to La Salette Area Rural Roots (Church), the Special Olympics or the Lung Association can be made at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.

  1. So sad to hear of Uncle Carl’s passing! I always enjoyed the opportunities that I had to play golf and talk with him on my infrequent trips home to Otterville. My sympathies to all of the Schooleys and others who are bereaved.
